Everyone I know that has a potato ricer always raves how good their mashed potatoes are. If you have ever watched the cooking shows you will see that they all use them. So of course I wanted one. Now I have to tell you I do make great mashed potatoes. Everyone in my family loves them but ,to be honest they are not as fluffy as I would prefer them. No matter how long I whip them with the mixer they still just kinda lay there. So I was thrilled when I was sent the Priority Chef Potato Ricer ? Baby Food Masher to review.I was so anxious to try the Priority Chef Potato Ricer that as soon as it arrived I had to make some mashed potatoes. Simply peel, and cook your potatoes as you would when making mashed potatoes. Once the potatoes are tender, drain them really good. I like to put them back in the same pan and let them dry a little bit over medium heat making sure to shake them so they dont burn. Then simply place your boiled potatoes in the hopper and press'The handles are made of soft silicone which makes the pressing of the potatoes super easy. After you have run all the potatoes through the ricer add some melted butter, warm cream and stir. No lumps and the potatoes are so fluffy just the way mashed potatoes should be.I have used the ricer for mashed sweet potatoes, mashed cauliflower and I have also used it to rice turnips and carrots for vegetable soup (my kids hate turnips and carrots so I have to sneak them in somehow LOL)The ricer can also be used to make baby food out of most any vegetable.Another great feature I love is that the Priority Chef Potato Ricer is dishwasher safe.I received the products mentioned above for free to write a review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
